The studio is located in the Ford Building in industrial SE Portland. The Ford (as in Henry) did not get it's name by accident, it is the former home of an automobile factory! This means big loading dock, big freight elevator, and plenty of very thick concrete. Our studio is 2000 very versatile square feet, with 20 foot ceilings, a 10×30 foot bank of North facing windows, and a 22′x15′ compound cyclorama. Directly over the main shooting space (right in front of the cyc) is a permanently installed 20×20 overhead. Each of the four corners can be dropped or raised depending on the angle desired. Currently we have three fabric choices for the overhead, black, white or full diffusion. Click on the image below for a full-size image of the floor plan.
Studio20's new 2000 square feet studio is complete with three separate studios within. It is conveniently located just half mile south of OMSI in SE Portland. Studio20 is one block to railroad tracks, the Springwater Corridor and lots of cool construction for an ever-changing location backdrop!

StudioShare.org™'s creation was driven by the need to reinvent professional collaboration among photographers.
It all started with two basic observations: on the one hand, studio space not entirely utilized by their owners, and on the other, photographers looking for affordable studio space.
The founders, both long-time photographers and studio owners, realized their studios were idle most of time, with skyrocketing rent and utility costs. They learned they weren't alone: other studio owners shared the same challenges.
In talking to hundreds of photographers nationwide, it soon became clear that most photographers were interested in doing more studio photography, yet didn't want to invest in their own studio.
But it wasn't limited to studio space alone. Photographers had difficulties locating props or finding the right equipment and qualified professional support for photo shoots. Often equipment purchase or rental was too costly. In addition, specialized photo professionals such as makeup artists, stylists, set builders, and others, were increasingly looking to network in the photographic community to find photo shoots.
The time was right to unite studio owners, photographers and photographic specialists in a unique and unparalleled collaboration platform allowing its members to connect, collaborate and share each other's resources online. Ultimately, StudioShare.org™ was born.
